Very hard wood with a very fine grain. Irregular colour ranging from brown to cream.

Royal ebony from Laos is considered the most precious of all ebonies.

This is due to the magnificent marbled pattern formed by intertwined black veins on a pale gold background.

Widely used in luxury craftsmanship.
